About this plugin
Apollo Sound's Aurum positions itself as a specialized effects processor designed to inject glamorous, high-frequency sheen into deep house productions. The plugin employs a combination of multiband saturation and frequency-selective enhancement to add crystalline presence and subtle harmonic richness across the upper midrange and treble spectrum, a sonic signature increasingly central to contemporary deep house aesthetics.
The core architecture suggests a focus on transparent coloration rather than aggressive processing. This makes Aurum particularly valuable for engineers working with deep house's characteristically warm, sub-bass focused arrangements, where maintaining clarity without sacrificing cohesion presents technical challenges. The effect proves especially useful on master buses, vocal layers, and lead synths that require definition without harshness.

Among comparable tools in this niche, Aurum's strength lies in its efficiency and genre-specificity. It operates within established deep house sonic conventions while offering enough parameter flexibility for subtle customization across different track arrangements. For producers seeking a turnkey solution that complements rather than dominates a mix, the plugin delivers professional results with minimal learning curve, though experienced engineers may find its scope somewhat narrower than more versatile multiband processors.
