About this plugin
Fatmaker stands as a purpose-built multiband saturator that departs meaningfully from conventional EQ design. Rather than treating equalization and saturation as separate processes, Singomakers has architected a unified workflow where each frequency band receives its own dedicated saturation circuit alongside independent gain control. This architectural choice yields a more cohesive tonal shaping tool than stacking separate plugins.
The plugin divides the spectrum into six processing bands - low frequency, low-mid, high-mid, high frequency, plus high-pass and low-pass filters - each with selectable saturation characteristics. This granularity proves particularly valuable when addressing problematic resonances or adding harmonic richness to specific frequency ranges without affecting the broader mix. The custom-designed filters employ high-end architecture that avoids the phase distortion and artifacts common to less sophisticated multiband tools.

Fatmaker excels across diverse material. On drums, it can add controlled aggression to kicks and snare while preserving transient clarity. Vocal processing benefits from the ability to warm lower midrange saturation while managing sibilance independently. Bass instruments gain definition through harmonic enhancement without sacrificing punch. Synthesizers respond well to the surgical frequency targeting, allowing producers to sculpt character with precision.
The plugin has achieved genuine traction among working professionals, distinguishing it from numerous competitors in an increasingly crowded space. Its strength lies not in flashy interface design but in practical utility - the processing remains transparent when needed and characterful when desired. For mixing and mastering contexts where nuanced control across frequency ranges directly impacts final output quality, Fatmaker provides legitimate technical advantages over conventional approaches.
