About this plugin
Tracktion's Attracktive Box Pro is a multiband dynamics processor that applies parallel compression across selectable frequency ranges with genuine utility for mix refinement. The plugin divides incoming audio into three independently controllable bands, each with threshold, ratio, makeup gain, and attack/release parameters. The architecture prioritizes transparency at moderate settings while remaining capable of aggressive tonal reshaping when needed.
The sonic character leans toward precision rather than color - this is a surgical tool, not a character device. The crossover filters employ steep slopes that minimize phase interaction, and the makeup gain operates with predictable linearity. For mastering work, this restraint is valuable; the plugin won't impose its own signature on material. On individual tracks, particularly drums and bass, the multiband approach excels at controlling problematic resonances without affecting the entire signal path.

Attracktive Box Pro occupies practical middle ground between full-featured multiband compressors and single-band surgical processors. It's less CPU-intensive than competing options from companies like FabFilter or Waves, making it viable for high track counts without compromise. The workflow remains straightforward enough that quick adjustments don't require extensive menu diving.
Best suited for engineers seeking multiband control without premium pricing or excessive feature bloat, Attracktive Box Pro represents competent engineering rather than breakthrough innovation. It performs its intended function reliably within Tracktion's ecosystem and third-party DAWs alike. For mix engineers already invested in that workflow, the integration advantages justify inclusion in a primary toolset.
