About this plugin
Resonance Sound's AZS Diva Digital Vol.2 is a multiband dynamics processor that applies serial compression across four distinct frequency regions, each with independent threshold, ratio, and makeup gain controls. The plugin distinguishes itself through a transparent, linear-phase processing engine that minimizes phase distortion across the audible spectrum - a critical consideration for mastering applications and stereo-sensitive material.
The sonic character leans toward surgical precision rather than coloration. Where many multiband compressors impose their own tonal fingerprint, this processor maintains remarkable neutrality while delivering measurable control over problematic frequency ranges. The crossover slopes are steep and transparent, preventing the muddiness that plagues less carefully designed alternatives. This makes it particularly effective for taming sibilance, controlling low-end bloat, and managing midrange buildup without obvious artifacts.

The interface prioritizes functional clarity over visual spectacle. Metering is comprehensive and intelligible, essential when making critical gain reduction decisions. The preview function allows A/B comparison in real time, proving invaluable during extended mixing sessions when ear fatigue clouds judgment.
This tool proves indispensable for mastering engineers working across diverse genres, mixing professionals confronting problematic source material, and anyone requiring transparent multiband control without sonic compromise. It occupies a distinct position - less character-driven than vintage hardware emulations, more honest than competing digital multiband processors at similar price points. For practitioners prioritizing accuracy and minimal coloration, AZS Diva Digital Vol.2 delivers professional-grade performance consistently.
