About this plugin
Utku S Presents Mainroom Chords from Loopmasters delivers a focused toolset for chord generation and harmonic processing, designed with the deep house and techno producer in mind. The plugin operates as a MIDI-driven chord assistant that generates voicings based on single note input, then applies a suite of effects processing that shapes the harmonic output toward club-ready tonality.
The core strength lies in its sonic character: the included effects chain emphasizes warm, slightly compressed harmonic content with integrated reverb and filtering that seats chords naturally in a mix without requiring extensive parallel processing. This reflects Utku S's production sensibilities - chords arrive rich but controlled, favoring sustain and depth over pristine clarity. The reverb algorithm has particular character, leaning toward hall-sized spaces that maintain definition rather than diffuse wash.

For experienced producers, the value proposition centers on workflow acceleration rather than novel harmonic theory. The voicing engine respects conventional music rules while offering preset collections that favor open, seventh-extended sonorities common to contemporary electronic music. Modulation options allow real-time chord variation, useful for evolving pads and atmospheric textures across eight-bar sections.
The plugin occupies familiar territory among chord generators - it doesn't reinvent the category but executes with deliberate sonic choices. Producers seeking immediate, production-ready harmonic color without deep customization will find this more useful than those requiring granular control over every voicing parameter. As a solution for rapid arrangement building in house and techno contexts, it performs competently, though it functions best as an inspirational starting point rather than a complete harmonic solution.
