About this plugin
Fluid Chords 2 is an intelligent chord manipulation plugin that addresses a genuine compositional challenge: smooth harmonic transitions between distant chord voicings. Rather than applying generic pitch-shifting, the plugin employs a dedicated voice-leading engine that traces logical melodic paths during chord bends, preserving musicality throughout the transition. This approach proves especially valuable in contemporary production where harmonic movement often requires expressive, non-linear gestures.
The core architecture combines a hybrid sound engine pairing wavetable synthesis with MPE sampling, allowing users to blend organic and synthetic character while maintaining bend responsiveness. Integrated processing includes gating, reverb, delay, and compression, eliminating the need for extensive parallel routing during performance.

Key performance features address real-world workflow. The Strum function staggers note onsets during bends, mimicking natural stringed instrument behavior. Real-Time Mode enables hands-free chord triggering via MIDI, while Split & Play mode reserves the left hand for chord control and the right for melodic content. The Harmony Engine generates progressions based on selected key and genre parameters, though experienced producers will likely treat this as inspiration rather than finished material.
Fluid Chords 2 appeals primarily to electronic musicians, film composers, and live performers seeking expressive harmonic control without extensive manual voicing work. The plugin occupies a specific niche distinct from traditional chord plugins - it's optimized for continuous interpolation rather than static chord triggering. Among comparable tools, it distinguishes itself through its voice-leading sophistication and performance-oriented design, making it a credible choice for producers prioritizing harmonic expressiveness.
