About this plugin
iZotope's RX Post Production Suite 8.7 represents a meaningful incremental refinement of the industry standard in dialogue and audio restoration. This update builds on the comprehensive toolkit established in versions 1 through 8.5, addressing the core workflows that define professional post-production: dialogue cleanup, broadband noise reduction, spectral repair, and surgical EQ via the acclaimed RX interface.
The Suite's strength lies in its spectral editing paradigm, which grants surgeons and dialogue editors precision unmatched by conventional linear processing. The update refines existing modules while maintaining backward compatibility, making it essential for post-production facilities already invested in the platform.

Best suited for dialogue editors, sound designers, and mastering engineers working in broadcast, film, and streaming content, RX 8.7 excels where problematic source material demands intelligent intervention. Among restoration toolsets, it remains the reference standard - competitors offer capable alternatives, but few match RX's combination of transparency, control, and workflow integration.
This update justifies consideration primarily for existing users seeking incremental improvements rather than fundamental feature expansion.
