Developed in collaboration with forensics expert Phil Manchester, the Waves Forensics Package consolidates essential tools for extracting intelligible audio from degraded, noisy, or obscured recordings. This collection addresses the specific demands of forensic audio work, where recovering usable material often takes precedence over sonic aesthetics.

The package centers on noise reduction capabilities that operate across multiple domains. The X-series plugins handle distinct problem categories - X-Noise for broadband ambient noise, X-Hum for electrical interference, X-Click for impulsive artifacts, and X-Crackle for vinyl or degradation noise. W43 Noise Reduction provides spectral analysis-based removal, identifying noise profiles and subtracting them intelligently. For tonal issues, the Q10 Equalizer offers 10-band precision to isolate and suppress problem frequencies.

Supporting tools include the PAZ Analyzer for real-time spectral identification of artifacts, the C1 Compressor for bringing up low-level signals without amplifying noise floors excessively, and the L1 Ultramaximizer for controlling peaks that might mask detail.
