The EQ PA is IK Multimedia's software emulation of a discrete op-amp based three-band equalizer that became a studio standard during the late 1960s and 70s. Built into countless custom console designs, the original hardware earned its reputation through a combination of musical proportional Q circuitry and carefully selected center frequencies that translated to exceptional results across tracking and mixing applications.

IK's digital implementation preserves the analog character while introducing practical refinements.
