About this plugin
The +10db Equaliser V2 represents a refined iteration of Boz Digital Labs' parallel EQ architecture, which fundamentally departs from conventional series-chain design philosophy. The parallel topology allows simultaneous processing of dry and processed signals, yielding a notably forgiving response to aggressive boost and cut settings that would typically introduce harshness in traditional parametric designs. This characteristic proves particularly valuable when stacking adjacent frequency bands, as the parallel configuration mitigates the interaction artifacts common to serial EQ chains.
The V2 upgrade maintains faithful emulation of the hardware channel strip's filter curves while enhancing the plugin's integration and workflow. The symmetric frequency response design, implemented without digital pre-warping algorithms, preserves spectral integrity at high frequencies and extends natural analog behavior to the Nyquist limit. This approach yields noticeably warmer, less brittle results in the presence and air regions compared to standard digital EQ implementations.

The plugin's unconventional layout encourages intuitive, gestural mixing rather than surgical precision work. Engineers accustomed to parametric EQs often discover that this design pattern activates different creative impulses, facilitating tonal exploration that might not emerge from traditional interface paradigms.
The +10db Equaliser V2 suits mixing engineers seeking musical coloration alongside corrective capability, mastering specialists requiring transparent yet characterful processing, and producers exploring alternative EQ approaches. It operates effectively as both a primary mixing tool and complementary processor alongside conventional EQs. When bundled with the +10db Compressor V2 and Channel Strip V2, the complete ecosystem provides cohesive sonic character across compression, equalization, and integrated channel processing applications.
