About this plugin
Waves AudioTrack consolidates essential channel processing into a single, CPU-efficient plugin that integrates seamlessly into modern mixing workflows. The architecture combines a four-band parametric equalizer with integrated gating, compression, and upward expansion, eliminating the need to stack multiple processors for fundamental tone shaping and dynamic control.
The EQ engine offers genuine flexibility. Each band operates as a standard parametric with adjustable Q and gain, while the low and high bands add selectable filter responses - high-pass and low-shelf configurations for low-end management, low-pass and high-shelf options for top-end control. This design handles both surgical corrections and broader tonal adjustments without unnecessary complexity. The four bell curves cover midrange work effectively.

Dynamics processing follows a straightforward approach: compression tames peaks with standard attack, release, and ratio controls, while upward expansion emphasizes transient material - useful for adding punch to drums or articulation to acoustic sources. The gate function provides noise suppression suitable for vocal recording or live-source material.
AudioTrack's real strength lies in practical efficiency. The plugin's modest CPU footprint makes it viable for template-based workflows, where inserting instances across every channel becomes feasible without taxing system resources. The dual interface options - modern dark and legacy light - accommodate different aesthetic preferences, while metering provides clear feedback on compression action and frequency response.
The included preset library covers common sources: guitars, vocals, drums, keyboards, and speech content. This tool serves producers and engineers seeking straightforward channel processing without overwhelming features, particularly valuable for remote recording, podcasting, and mixing-intensive sessions where efficiency matters.
