About this plugin
TimeStop is a creative time-manipulation plugin that freezes and holds audio material in real-time, allowing producers to extract sustains from percussive or transient-heavy sources. Rather than functioning as a conventional sampler or granular processor, TimeStop captures a snapshot of audio and loops it seamlessly, making it particularly valuable for transforming drum hits into pad-like textures or extending vocal consonants into atmospheric layers.
The plugin operates with intuitive controls for freeze point selection, crossfade smoothing, and output tuning, giving users precise command over how material is sustained. Its technical implementation prioritizes minimal latency and artifact-free playback, essential qualities when working with time-sensitive material in a live or studio context.

TimeStop occupies a unique niche among time-manipulation tools, sitting between conventional freezing techniques and granular synthesis. It's most valuable for electronic producers seeking unconventional sound design approaches, particularly those working with percussion, strings, or vocal material. While not essential for every workflow, it delivers genuine creative possibilities that justify its inclusion in forward-thinking production toolkits. Among Cableguys' suite of instruments, TimeStop maintains the company's reputation for focused, purposeful design over feature bloat.
