About this plugin
Future MB from Three-Body Technology represents a fundamental rethinking of multiband dynamics processing. Rather than forcing engineers into rigid band structures, it allows instantiation of up to six independent dynamic bands positioned precisely where the audio requires intervention. This flexibility addresses a real workflow problem: traditional multiband compressors demand you partition the entire spectrum even when targeting specific issues.
The plugin's architecture places a complete dynamics processing suite within each band, delivering the simultaneous control over dynamics and frequency content that characterizes modern mixing demands. The variable crossover slopes, ranging from 6 dB/octave to 48 dB/octave, provide genuine musicality at gentle slopes while maintaining surgical precision when needed.

The standout feature is Delta Matrix technology, which enables gain delta routing between bands. This shifts multiband processing beyond simple per-band compression into genuinely creative territory, allowing dynamic reshaping that conventional tools cannot achieve. Three phase modes address the perpetual latency versus phase distortion tradeoff. Liquid Phase deserves particular attention for its dynamic approach: applying phase correction only when gain actually changes eliminates pre-ringing artifacts while maintaining zero latency, theoretically delivering transparency without compromise.
Future MB suits mixing engineers and mastering professionals seeking precise spectral dynamics control without workflow compromise. It competes in a space occupied by tools like FabFilter Pro-MB and iZotope Advanced, but its emphasis on flexible band placement and the Delta Matrix system positions it distinctly. The implementation appears technically sophisticated and addresses legitimate limitations in existing solutions, making it particularly valuable for complex sources demanding targeted intervention across the frequency spectrum.
