About this plugin
The Midas Heritage 3000 Native Bundle delivers authentic emulations of one of live sound's most respected consoles to the DAW environment. TC Electronic has modeled two critical signal processors from the Heritage 3000's design: the PEQ 3000 parametric equalizer and the DYN 3000 dynamics processor. Both plugins aim to capture the sonic character that made the original console a fixture in touring and installed sound applications for decades.
The PEQ 3000 provides twelve fully parametric bands with shelving filters and switchable high-pass/low-pass options, enabling both surgical correction and creative tonal shaping. Its analog-modeled response prioritizes musicality over clinical precision, making it suitable for individual tracks or full-mix application. The DYN 3000 combines compression, expansion, and gating functions with soft and hard knee modes, sidechain filtering, and VU-style metering. This combination addresses the practical needs of live reinforcement workflows adapted for studio mixing.

These plugins suit engineers accustomed to working with hardware consoles who want familiar signal flow and sonic characteristics in their digital environment. They're particularly valuable for users mixing live recordings, broadcast production, or mastering work where the Heritage 3000's warmth and precision remain relevant standards. Compared to universal dynamics and EQ plugins, the Midas emulations offer a specific sonic signature rooted in touring console design rather than generic studio tools.
The bundle's effectiveness depends largely on whether the Heritage 3000's particular tonal character aligns with your mixing aesthetic. It represents a legitimate translation of established hardware into plugin form rather than a reinterpretation.
