About this plugin
The Eiosis Air & Earth EQ distills the core filtering architecture of the acclaimed AirEQ into two focused modules designed for precision high and low frequency shaping. Rather than offering a full parametric equalizer, this plugin concentrates on the specific sonic character that made the original AirEQ respected across professional studios: musicality without obvious processing artifacts.
The Air filter handles brightness with genuine sophistication. Unlike standard high frequency boosts that risk introducing harshness or digital artifacts, the Air circuit adds presence through a carefully voiced filter that preserves natural timbre. This makes it particularly effective on vocals, where subtle brilliance can enhance presence without fatiguing. On full mixes, it can restore top end clarity without the clinical quality of conventional shelving EQs.

The Earth circuit takes its inspiration from transformer saturation behavior, addressing low frequencies with weight and cohesion. It excels at adding girth to kick drums and bass without muddiness, and its transformer-influenced character imparts a subtle warmth that feels organic rather than processed. For post-production, the Earth filter handles sub-bass effectively.
Both modules include resonant cut filters - HiCut and LoCut respectively - with variable slopes from 6dB to 36dB per octave. The Q control on these filters is particularly useful: it allows resonance at the cutoff frequency, enabling subtle enhancement even while rolling off adjacent frequencies. This makes the filters far more than simple high-pass/low-pass tools; they're capable of genuine tonal shaping.
The Air & Earth EQ serves engineers and producers seeking transparent, musicality-focused frequency control without the complexity of full parametric designs.
