About this plugin
RX 12 Advanced represents a substantial leap forward for users upgrading from RX 10 Standard, introducing capabilities that fundamentally reshape audio restoration workflows. The platform's core strength lies in its machine learning-driven approach to problem-solving, which balances surgical precision with automation for professionals who need both control and speed.
The most significant addition is Scene Rebalance, a tool that allows independent adjustment of dialogue, music, and effects in mixed content - a capability previously requiring extensive manual intervention or separate stems. This addresses a genuine pain point in post-production where time constraints often prevent ideal mixing scenarios. Beyond this, RX 12 expands its already comprehensive restoration toolkit with refined modules for sibilance control, intonation adjustment, and spectral repair that respond more intelligently to contextual audio characteristics.

The plugin ecosystem maintains RX's position as the de facto standard across film, television, and music production. Its technical foundation rests on precise spectral analysis and machine learning models trained on diverse audio material, enabling consistent results across dialogue cleanup, background noise removal, and subtle artifact elimination. The Repair Assistant feature streamlines routine corrections without sacrificing the detailed parameter access advanced users demand.
This upgrade particularly benefits post-production facilities, mixing engineers tackling complex sessions, and music producers managing imperfect vocal or instrument recordings. While competitors offer competent restoration tools, RX's combination of breadth, depth, and demonstrated reliability across industry-critical applications remains unmatched. For RX 10 Standard users, the advancement in intelligent processing and workflow efficiency justifies migration, especially for those routinely handling challenging audio sources.
