SSL Native X-Phase

The SSL Native X-Phase addresses a fundamental challenge in professional audio: phase coherency across multiple sources. Rather than altering the frequency response like conventional EQs, this all-pass filter shifts the phase of a selected frequency band while maintaining unity gain, making it invaluable for correcting phase issues that arise from microphone placement, room reflections, or multi-mic techniques.

The interface centers on three core parameters. The Frequency control pinpoints the problematic band, while Q determines the correction slope across the spectrum. A phase invert button flips the filter 180 degrees when needed. Beyond the all-pass section, a dedicated Delay module handles time alignment across multiple display formats - seconds, milliseconds, samples, meters, and feet - allowing precise compensation for physical distances or acoustic delays between sources.
