About this plugin
SPL HawkEye stands as a comprehensive measurement suite that consolidates the essential analytical tools professional engineers rely on during mixing and mastering. Rather than forcing context switching between separate metering plugins, HawkEye unifies a Level Meter, Loudness Meter, Spectrum Analyzer, Vector Scope, and Bit Monitor into a single coherent interface designed around aviation-grade cockpit principles.
The plugin excels at addressing concrete technical problems. Its True Peak and RMS metering in multiple channel configurations helps engineers maintain adequate headroom while mixing for streaming platforms. The Loudness Meter tackles the increasingly critical task of loudness normalization across Spotify, Apple Music, and TIDAL by displaying integrated, momentary, and short-term loudness values alongside peak-to-loudness ratios. This prevents the dynamic compression that automatic loudness limiting introduces when masters fall outside target ranges.

The Vector Scope reveals phase relationships that compromise stereo imaging and low-end definition, while the 64-bit Bit Monitor displays actual bit-depth distribution and DC offset problems that degrade audio quality. The Spectrum Analyzer provides sufficient resolution for identifying problematic resonances without requiring external analysis tools.
HawkEye's interface prioritizes clarity over aesthetic complexity, reducing eye strain during marathon sessions. Individual tools can be undocked into separate windows for custom workspace layouts.
This plugin serves experienced engineers and mastering specialists who need dependable, fast access to technical data without sacrificing workflow efficiency. It represents a mature alternative to juggling multiple measurement tools and stands among the most complete all-in-one metering solutions available.
