About this plugin
UVI's Phasor stands out among modern phaser plugins for its flexibility and transparent sound quality. Rather than locking users into a fixed algorithm, Phasor offers genuine creative control through its multimode LFO and comprehensive parameter set, making it equally capable of subtle enhancement or radical frequency manipulation.
The core architecture centers on Min and Max frequency controls that define the modulation sweep range, coupled with Depth for intensity shaping. This approach allows for surgical precision - you can isolate specific frequency bands for enhancement or create laser-focused effects without affecting the broader spectrum. The bipolar Feedback parameter adds dimension, generating additive resonances or subtractive notching depending on polarity, while Drive introduces harmonically useful distortion rather than mere saturation.

Where Phasor distinguishes itself is the parametric LFO implementation. Beyond standard sine and triangle waveforms, it offers full control over waveshape, Pulse Width, Symmetry, Phase, and Swing - enabling rhythmically locked modulation that genuinely locks into a track's pocket. The Random and S&H modes inject controlled variation when static modulation feels too predictable.
The interface design deserves mention. Parameters sit cleanly on a single screen with clear labeling and logical organization, avoiding the menu diving that plagues some competitors. Practical touches like A/B snapshot comparison, I/O metering, and Trim control make level-matching and critical listening straightforward.
Phasor suits anyone from mix engineers seeking transparent stereo enhancement to sound designers exploring textural effects. Its combination of surgical precision and creative depth positions it as a genuinely useful tool rather than merely another phaser variant.
