About this plugin
Muze Gemini is a comprehensive virtual electric piano instrument that models the sonic characteristics of the Fender Rhodes MK I and Hohner CP80 MK II stage pianos. The plugin employs a layered sampling approach, offering up to 45 simultaneous sound sources per preset that can be mixed in real time to shape the final character. This architecture distinguishes it from straightforward sample playback instruments, enabling substantial tonal customization without relying solely on physical modeling or synthesis.
The sound library contains 3,958 samples across 10 velocity layers, with dedicated main and release samples to capture the full dynamic range of both instruments. The dual-piano foundation provides access to the characteristic bright, percussive character of Rhodes models alongside the warmer, more mellow tones associated with the Hohner platform. This pairing covers substantial ground within electric piano territory, from soulful jazz to funk and contemporary pop applications.

Built-in effects processing includes essential tools for sculpting the tone: compression, multimode delays, reverb, cabinet modeling, EQ, and rotary speaker emulation. The effect suite is practical rather than exotic, prioritizing transparent sound shaping over character effects. The rotary speaker implementation deserves particular attention for players seeking authentic Leslie-style modulation.
Gemini suits producers and pianists who require flexible, controllable electric piano textures without committing to full sample libraries or synthesis-based alternatives. Its 45-layer mixing capability differentiates it from simpler Rhodes emulations, offering experienced users genuine creative depth. The 4.2 GB footprint remains reasonable for modern systems while delivering sufficient sample resolution for studio and live contexts.
