About this plugin
MPolySaturator represents a thoughtfully engineered solution to a fundamental problem in saturation processing: how to generate harmonic richness without the intermodulation artifacts that plague traditional saturation on complex signals. Unlike conventional saturators, which apply nonlinear distortion across the entire frequency spectrum and inevitably produce disharmonic byproducts when processing polyphonic material, MPolySaturator isolates individual frequencies and generates harmonics independently for each one. This spectral approach yields audible harmonic enhancement without the gritty harshness typically associated with pushing mixtures through saturation.
The technical architecture supports dynamic harmonic manipulation through four integrated modulators, allowing producers to modulate harmonic levels in response to input dynamics, envelope followers, or LFOs. This dimensionality addresses the static nature of many saturation tools and enables time-varying tonal shaping that responds intelligently to performance.

MPolySaturator is particularly valuable for engineers working with dense arrangements, vocals with complex overtone structures, or any material where traditional saturation introduces unwanted distortion artifacts. It's less suited for those seeking the characterful coloration of true analog saturation, but far superior for transparent harmonic enrichment.
The interface reflects MeldaProduction's design philosophy: GPU-accelerated rendering, comprehensive visualization, and extensive customization. Practical features including automatic gain compensation, safety limiting, and surround support acknowledge real-world mixing workflows. Hosting support spans VST, VST3, AU, and AAX across both platforms.
MPolySaturator occupies a specialized but important niche within the saturation ecosystem. It delivers genuine harmonic enhancement for complex material where competing tools introduce unwanted coloration, making it an essential addition for detail-oriented mixing work.
