About this plugin
The NF575 stands as a surgical tool in the noise reduction category, offering the precision necessary for professional audio cleanup across recording, mixing, and mastering workflows. This native plugin combines three distinct filtering approaches: traditional high-pass and low-pass filters with slopes ranging from 6 to 36 dB/octave, plus five independent notch filters with adjustable Q and depth controls. The notch filters' harmonic linking feature proves particularly valuable when dealing with AC hum and its harmonics, a common problem in recording environments that typically requires manual intervention across multiple frequency bands.
The plugin's architecture emphasizes transparency and accuracy rather than character. Double precision processing ensures negligible cumulative errors across multiple instances, while zero latency operation makes it suitable for real-time tracking applications. The addition of analog saturation modeling provides subtle harmonic coloration when needed, though the core strength remains surgical noise removal without audible artifacts.

Current generation optimization for Apple Silicon and latest Intel processors ensures efficient operation on contemporary systems. The inclusion of real-time analyzers enables evidence-based decision-making, allowing engineers to visualize problematic frequencies before applying correction. Two activations per license offers reasonable flexibility for those managing multiple machines.
The NF575 appeals primarily to location recordists, mastering engineers, and post-production professionals where noise elimination is non-negotiable. While specialized tools like spectral editors offer different approaches to similar problems, the NF575's combination of filterbank versatility and harmonic linking establishes it as a capable, straightforward option for routine cleaning tasks where quality cannot be compromised.
