About this plugin
LEVELS consolidates seven essential metering tools into a single plugin, addressing the gap between mixing and mastering-grade analysis. Rather than offering surgical correction, it functions as a diagnostic instrument that identifies technical problems before they reach critical listening environments.
The plugin's core strength lies in its integrated approach to loudness measurement. The EBU R128 compliant LUFS meters - both integrated and short-term - provide the industry standard for perceived loudness analysis across streaming platforms, broadcast, and club systems. Paired with true peak metering at 16x oversampling, LEVELS ensures masters won't clip regardless of platform normalization. The dynamic range indicator, derived from short-term LUFS to peak ratio calculations, reveals whether excessive compression has sacrificed the music's vitality.

The stereo field section employs a vectorscope alongside correlation metering to expose phase issues that compromise translation. The bass space analyzer with discrete frequency bands at 40Hz, 80Hz, 120Hz, and 160Hz pinpoints unwanted low-end buildup that muddies mixes on smaller systems.
LEVELS works best for producers mixing in treated and untreated spaces who lack confidence in their monitoring environment, as well as engineers handling final masters before submission. Its preset targets for CD, streaming, YouTube, and club formats provide objective reference points rather than relying solely on subjective monitoring.
The interface prioritizes clarity without oversimplification. CPU overhead remains minimal, allowing deployment across numerous tracks without session strain. For mixing engineers seeking tangible feedback on technical compliance, LEVELS provides measurable insights that accelerate problem identification and correction.
