DRMeter

MAAT's DRMeter is a real-time level metering plugin that measures dynamic range during mixing and mastering sessions. The tool calculates DR values using MAAT's proprietary algorithms, the same ballistics that defined the original TT Dynamic Range Meter, which became the de facto standard for dynamics assessment across the music industry. Unlike spectral or loudness-focused meters, DRMeter specifically quantifies the gap between peak and average levels, providing immediate feedback on whether a mix maintains sufficient dynamic contrast.

The plugin displays both graphical and numeric DR estimates alongside complementary measurements including SPPM peak levels, RMS amplitude, digital overs, and digital black floor readings. This combination of metrics gives engineers a comprehensive view of their mix's dynamic profile without requiring external batch processing tools.
