About this plugin
iZotope's RX Post Production Suite 8.7 represents a comprehensive overhaul of their restoration toolkit, engineered specifically for mastering engineers, post-production professionals, and mixing specialists who demand surgical precision in audio repair. This crossgrade path welcomes existing RX Advanced users into a significantly expanded ecosystem that layers spectral editing capabilities with machine learning-driven processing modules.
The suite's technical approach centers on advanced spectral analysis and surgical removal of problematic audio artifacts - clicks, hum, broadband noise, and phase issues - without the collateral damage typical of conventional EQ or gating. The sonic character remains transparent; RX's strength lies in its ability to vanish into the mix when applied judiciously.

For post-production facilities managing dialogue cleanup or mastering engineers confronting noisy source material, this represents the professional standard. The crossgrade pricing structure makes the upgrade financially accessible to established RX Advanced users seeking deeper feature integration and the latest algorithmic improvements. Among restoration plugins, RX maintains its position as the most analytically rigorous solution available, though it demands technical literacy and intentional methodology rather than preset-based convenience.
