About this plugin
DRC is Imaginando's answer to producers seeking authentic analog synthesis without compromise. Built on a genuine virtual analog architecture, the synthesizer delivers the warm, slightly imperfect character that defines classic hardware while maintaining the flexibility expected from modern software.
The signal path reflects intentional design philosophy. Two primary oscillators paired with a dedicated sub-oscillator and noise source feed into a properly modeled 4-pole self-resonant ladder filter, the type that defined analog synthesis for decades. A secondary 2-pole multimode filter adds tonal shaping depth. Ring modulation and oscillator sync expand harmonic possibilities beyond simple subtractive synthesis, while two LFOs and analog-modeled envelopes provide modulation control with tangible character.

DRC's effects processing separates it from utilitarian synthesizers. The stereo tape delay with time modulation, multi-mode chorus, and reverb with self-growing decay aren't afterthoughts but integral to the instrument's sonic identity. These processors transform basic waveforms into complex, harmonically rich textures that justify the "lush" descriptor honestly applied throughout the feature set.
The interface prioritizes immediate usability without sacrificing control depth. Eight-voice polyphony covers most performance contexts, while 600 presets across six soundbanks provide both inspiration and references. Cloud sync functionality and platform consistency mean DRC functions equally well as a primary synthesis engine or supplementary tool across desktop and mobile workflows.
Best suited for producers valuing sonic character and tactile control, DRC occupies the practical middle ground between preset-dependent soft synths and deep-parameter instruments demanding extensive sound design commitment. It rewards exploration without punishing directness.
