About this plugin
Eventide's MicroPitch represents a refined evolution of the micropitch effect pioneered by the H910 Harmonizer in the 1970s. The plugin operates as a dual-voice pitch shifter with integrated delay, allowing users to layer detuned and time-delayed copies of the source signal with independent control over pitch, delay time, and feedback for each voice. This architecture distinguishes it from simpler stereo spread tools by offering genuine harmonic and temporal dimension rather than phase-based widening.
The sonic character leans toward transparent, musically useful results. Fine-resolution pitch shifting handles subtle detune work effectively, making it suitable for vocal fattening, guitar widening, and general tone sweetening. At larger pitch intervals and with extended delay times, it transitions into more dramatic territory - slapback echoes, ambient textures, and experimental sound design become accessible without requiring separate plugins.

The Ribbon control provides real-time morphing between two complete settings, enabling sweeping transitions from tight doubling into spacious delay effects. Desktop users can modulate the Ribbon via MIDI keyboard mod wheel, adding tactile performance capability. Additional parameters including Tone, Modulation, and Feedback create opportunities for discovery beyond straightforward pitch shifting.
MicroPitch suits producers and engineers seeking a single tool that handles both mixing fundamentals and creative sound design. Its integration into the H9 ecosystem means reliable workflow alongside other Eventide processors. For anyone working in production, mixing, or live performance, MicroPitch occupies the practical middle ground between basic pitch shifting and elaborate delay processors, backed by decades of proven sonic technology.
