Audiority's Doomagorgon is a dual-channel distortion plugin that models the fuzz and high-gain sections of two classic hardware units: the Boss FZ-2's Univox SuperFuzz circuit and the HM-2's aggressive distortion topology. This combination targets producers working in doom metal, death metal, and heavy experimental music who require both thick, octave-saturated textures and tight, compressed chainsaw distortion from a single plugin.

The fuzz channel delivers the characteristic octave-down layering and harmonic richness of the SuperFuzz, while the chainsaw channel provides the HM-2's notorious midrange scoop and tight compression. Audiority's implementation adds meaningful enhancements: the FILTH MOD pushes the fuzz channel into heavier territory with additional saturation and EQ sculpting, while the RAT MOD transforms the chainsaw channel from smooth overdrive to hard-clipping distortion, expanding sonic flexibility beyond the original hardware.

Independent tone shaping per channel allows serious frequency sculpting without routing complexity. The included transposer shifts the octave fuzz up or down, useful for matching different tunings or layering techniques. A noise gate addresses the inevitable high-frequency noise from stacked distortions, while pre and post-effect metering helps manage levels in mixing chains. The mix control enables blending both channels in real time, a significant advantage over using separate pedals.
