About this plugin
Restoration Suite 2 represents a significant technical advancement in corrective audio processing. This four-plugin collection - DeNoise, DeClick, DeHum, and DeClip - addresses the primary sources of degradation in recording sessions with approaches grounded in genuine algorithmic improvement rather than incremental feature additions.
DeNoise 2 stands apart through its dynamic noise profiling system, which moves beyond static noise prints to capture time-varying characteristics. This matters considerably for field recordings where wind noise or lavalier handling creates non-stationary artifacts. The adaptive mode operates without profiling, making it practical for live mixing scenarios. DeClick 2's refined transient preservation allows aggressive settings without introducing the harmonic distortion that compromises punch and clarity in previous generations. DeHum 2 adds automatic frequency estimation, streamlining the typical workflow of manual frequency identification. DeClip 2 delivers convincing peak reconstruction, particularly valuable for vocal recordings where clipping occurred at the converter stage.

The mid-side processing support across three plugins directly addresses stereo image artifacts - a consideration often overlooked in restoration workflows but critical for broadcast and streaming deliverables. Support for surround and immersive formats up to 7.1.6 extends utility beyond stereo mixing.
Restoration Suite 2 serves engineers working across production domains: post-production supervisors managing archival material, recording engineers salvaging compromised takes, and broadcast professionals meeting technical specifications. The suite's technical maturity places it alongside established restoration tools, distinguished by accessible interfaces that don't sacrifice control. Implementation across VST, VST3, AAX, and AU formats ensures compatibility with contemporary production systems.
