About this plugin
ECLIPSE stands as a comprehensive sound design platform built on three distinct synthesis engines: Pulse for percussive material, Chop for granular stuttering effects, and Flow for ambient textures. The architecture allows seamless morphing between modes via onboard sequencing, a practical approach that distinguishes it from single-engine competitors. The plugin's filtering and distortion stack delivers aggressive character suitable for contemporary electronic production, though the real technical merit lies in its convolution reverb engine, which includes impulses sourced from recognized hardware units commonly deployed in film and television scoring.
The sequencer implementation deserves particular attention. Four independent modules, each capable of modulating 24 parameters across 64 steps at individual playback rates, enable granular control over sonic evolution. Pattern generation includes randomization and forward/reverse playback options, allowing rapid exploration of modulation possibilities without requiring manual parameter adjustment. This sequencer-first approach appeals to producers comfortable with modular thinking and those seeking rhythmically synchronized sound development.

The effects chain encompasses delay, multiple modulation types, and diverse distortion algorithms alongside the convolution engine. This toolkit skews toward modern electronic production rather than transparent processing, making ECLIPSE best suited for sound designers, electronic music composers, and film scorers seeking aggressive, evolving textures rather than subtle enhancement.
At 250 presets, the library provides functional starting points across its sonic range. For producers already invested in Native Instruments hardware through KOMPLETE KONTROL or MASCHINE, NKS integration offers expected workflow continuity. ECLIPSE occupies established territory within the effects plugin market, executing established concepts with competent interface design and respectable sonic results.
