About this plugin
InTrigger represents a meaningful advancement in drum replacement technology, addressing the practical limitations that have long plagued the category. Where traditional drum replacers struggle with nuanced performances containing ghost notes, dynamic variation, and microphone bleed, InTrigger applies intelligent onset detection to capture the full complexity of a recorded drum take without extensive manual editing.
The plugin's core workflow centers on automatic hit detection and threshold optimization, reducing the setup time typically required for accuracy. Its Onset Gate effectively filters unwanted leakage while preserving the intentional dynamics of the original performance, a distinction that separates capable tools from exceptional ones. The included COSMOS integration provides meaningful practical value, allowing real-time sample auditioning within your session rather than the laborious process of manually loading alternatives.

InTrigger's Humanize control shapes envelope and velocity variation per triggered hit, avoiding the rhythmic sterility that undermines many drum replacement tools. This per-hit modulation approach acknowledges a fundamental truth: natural performances contain microtonal variance that rigid sample triggering erases.
The inclusion of InTrigger Live extends utility into real-time applications with zero-latency operation, positioning the plugin as a genuine two-context solution rather than a studio-only tool. This addresses a specific market gap where live sound engineers have historically relied on dedicated hardware for similar functionality.
The plugin serves producers, mixing engineers, and live sound professionals who encounter imperfect drum recordings. It proves particularly valuable when original takes contain performance qualities worth preserving alongside sonic replacement - a scenario common enough in modern production to justify dedicated tooling. InTrigger succeeds because it automates the intelligent decisions that previously required manual intervention.
