PX WaveFrame

PX WaveFrame is UVI's software emulation of the AudioFrame, a 24-bit digital sampler that emerged from Boulder in the late 1980s as a serious alternative to the Synclavier and Fairlight. The plugin captures the distinctive sonic character of that hardware through meticulously sampled original sounds and newly designed presets tailored for contemporary production.

The emulation preserves the AudioFrame's core strengths: phase-coherent polyphony, non-aliased transposition, and the particular digital warmth that distinguished it from competing samplers of that era. UVI recorded both clean versions of each sound and separately processed FX variants, giving users two interpretive approaches to the source material. This dual-layer approach reflects the original hardware's capabilities while expanding creative flexibility.

The preset library of 350 patches demonstrates thoughtful curation across traditional categories - Keys, Guitars, Bass, Strings, Brass, Woodwinds, Synths, and Drums - alongside dedicated Effects presets.
