About this plugin
Dave Audé's curated plugin collection represents a disciplined approach to professional mixing and mastering, distilling years of chart-topping work into a focused toolkit. Rather than pursuing comprehensive feature breadth, this bundle prioritizes the specific processors that have defined Audé's sonic signature across work with major label artists.
The centerpiece is Waves' C6 multiband compressor, a workhorse for surgical frequency-specific dynamics control. Paired with the L3 series maximizers - including the standard L3-LL and Ultra variants - the collection emphasizes transparent dynamic shaping over coloration. The MV2 Trans-X adds multiband transient manipulation, essential for drum rejuvenation and surgical control over micro-dynamics without obvious compression artifacts. H-Delay provides rhythmic anchoring through tempo-synced processing, while Element 2.0 serves as a creative supplement for additive synthesis and processing effects.

This toolkit is best suited for producers and engineers already comfortable with multiband processing concepts who seek efficient mastering chains or remix workflows. It's particularly valuable for those working in commercial pop, dance, and urban genres where punch and clarity across the frequency spectrum are non-negotiable.
Compared to broader mastering suites, the EMP Toolbox sacrifices comprehensive metering and analysis tools for concentrated processing power. It's neither a beginner's introduction to mastering nor an all-in-one solution, but rather a professional's refinement kit - a selection of proven weapons rather than a comprehensive arsenal. For engineers seeking specific sonic targets Audé has defined, the collection offers proven efficacy.
