About this plugin
Mirror represents a technically innovative approach to a well-established production technique. By exploiting DAW latency compensation, the plugin generates reverse effects that precede their source material - essentially playing a reversed, processed version of your audio before the original sound arrives. This counterintuitive signal flow produces the familiar reverse reverb and reverse snare textures that have become production staples, but with considerably less manual effort than traditional methods.
The core workflow involves buffering incoming audio, applying reverb, reversing the result, and timing it to end precisely when your original signal begins. This technical precision is the plugin's primary advantage over manual bouncing and reversing techniques, which remain time-consuming and inflexible once printed to track.

Mirror functions effectively across percussion and melodic sources alike. Reverse snares gain clarity and impact with minimal setup, while reverse reverb creates convincing transition effects and ambient textures on vocals, pads, and synths. The control set emphasizes practical sculpting - decay stretch, filtering options, and transient smoothing allow you to balance effect density against maintaining your source's presence and definition.
The plugin is best suited to producers and engineers who regularly employ these effects but resist the workflow friction of traditional implementation. Its straightforward interface and predictable results make it accessible to less experienced users, while the tonal flexibility justifies inclusion in professional mixing chains.
Mirror doesn't reinvent the reverse reverb or reverse snare, but it eliminates genuine workflow friction without compromising sonic character. For mixing and production contexts where these effects appear regularly, it represents a sensible productivity investment.
