About this plugin
VOXCRAFT is UJAM's comprehensive vocal processing suite designed to address a common production bottleneck: transforming generic vocal samples into distinctive, polished performances. The plugin centers on independent pitch and formant shifting, allowing producers to alter vocal character without the artifacts that plague lesser algorithms. This dual-axis control enables genuine tonal transformation - shifting perceived gender, age, and texture while maintaining intelligibility across stylistic applications.
The pitch correction engine supports multiple tuning modes, from transparent chromatic correction to deliberately musical quantization across major, minor, and pentatonic scales. This flexibility proves particularly valuable for trap and pop production, where tuned vocal chops function as melodic elements rather than naturalistic performances. The six-module effects chain - Dynamics, Character, Filter, Delay, Reverb, and Chopping - provides legitimate sound design capability rather than cosmetic polish. The chopper deserves particular attention, offering rhythmic vocal destruction that yields genuinely musical results despite its seemingly chaotic operation.

VOXCRAFT occupies practical middle ground between specialized pitch correction tools and full-featured mixing suites. It excels for sample manipulation and vocal loop treatment but lacks the spectral editing precision of advanced tools like Melodyne. The randomization function, while initially gimmicky in concept, generates legitimate creative starting points by forcing unconventional parameter combinations.
The plugin suits producers working with vocal samples, loop-based genres, and situations where vocal sources lack professional recording quality. UJAM's preset bank provides usable launching points without dictating final results. For engineers seeking fast, musical vocal transformation without deep technical involvement, VOXCRAFT delivers measurable utility. Its workflow prioritizes speed and experimentation over surgical control.
