About this plugin
SPARKLE 2 represents ujam's refined approach to virtual electric guitar performance, building meaningfully on its predecessor's foundation. This upgrade delivers freshly sampled recordings from a vintage single-coil equipped instrument, yielding the characteristic bell-like articulation and natural harmonic clarity that defines classic rock and pop textures. The expanded phrase library now exceeds 350 distinct performances across 30 styles, providing working producers with substantially more melodic and rhythmic options than the original SPARKLE 1.
The technical architecture emphasizes practical workflow. The stomp box section offers 30 pre-amp effect combinations that dynamically interact with the amp and cabinet modeling stage, preserving the natural response characteristics you'd encounter with physical gear. The Finisher FX processing layer adds final tonal shaping without compromising clarity. Notably, the newly implemented Open Chords feature extends creative flexibility by allowing chord voicing variations outside the stock phrase set.

SPARKLE 2 performs effectively across electronic pop, indie rock, funk, and contemporary genres where rhythmic guitar supports rather than dominates the mix. Its design philosophy prioritizes accessibility without sacrificing sonic credibility. For engineers experienced with ujam's Virtual Guitarist ecosystem, this upgrade delivers tangible improvements in sample fidelity and arrangement options rather than fundamental conceptual changes.
Existing SPARKLE 1 owners will find the upgrade path justified primarily through expanded sonic palette and enhanced phrase depth. The plugin remains best suited for producers seeking efficient, reliable guitar texturing rather than expressive soloing capabilities.
