About this plugin
Virtual Pianist SCORE is a specialized keyboard instrument designed for composers and producers working in narrative-driven media. Built on sampled recordings of a Steinway D Grand Piano, the plugin delivers authentic piano tones across five distinct character profiles: Abyss, Damped, Mellow, Pure, and Royal. Each character represents a different tonal palette, from deeply resonant and dark to bright and assertive, allowing precise tonal shaping without extensive sound design.
The plugin operates in two primary modes. Instrument mode functions as a standard piano with full velocity sensitivity and expressive control, suitable for traditional performance-based composition. Player mode offers over 180 customizable musical phrases, enabling non-pianists to generate convincing piano parts quickly. This dual functionality addresses a common production bottleneck: sourcing realistic piano accompaniment for film, television, podcast, and game scores.

SCORE integrates 45 Finisher multi-effect modes and 45 Ambience FX presets specifically calibrated for the instrument. These effects extend the sonic palette beyond traditional piano, facilitating integration with modern production aesthetics. The combination of character selection, effect routing, and phrase customization yields substantial variation from a relatively straightforward interface.
The loyalty upgrade applies to existing UJAM customers, making SCORE accessible at reduced cost. For experienced producers already invested in UJAM's ecosystem, the plugin pairs effectively with complementary instruments like Virtual Bassist ROYAL and effects like Finisher FLUXX for cohesive soundtrack construction. SCORE addresses a genuine need in scoring workflows where high-quality piano elements remain difficult to produce or source efficiently.
