About this plugin
UJAM's Finisher BOOST tackles a genuine production challenge: creating dynamic transitions and build sections that feel integrated rather than layered. Rather than relying on sample-based risers or manual automation, BOOST applies real-time multi-effect processing to any audio source, generating transitions that blend naturally with your mix.
The plugin's architecture centers on 60 effect modes, each combining modulation, filtering, compression, and saturation in different configurations. What distinguishes BOOST is its intelligent synchronization engine. You set phrase length (2, 4, or 8 bars), designate which beat receives maximum intensity, and the plugin tracks your DAW's playhead position to ensure consistent timing regardless of where you insert or launch the effect. This removes a significant workflow friction point for producers working with strict grid-based arrangements.

The single "Finisher" knob controls intensity across all active processing, with mode-specific "Vari" controls offering secondary customization. Loop control lets you define custom arc lengths or run full phrase effects, while the Flip button inverts effect behavior for creating downlifters or contrast sections.
BOOST occupies middle ground between simplistic one-knob processors and deep effect layering. It's most valuable for electronic music producers, hip-hop engineers, and anyone working with electronic arrangements where tightly-gridded transitions are standard practice. The 200+ presets provide legitimate starting points rather than mere suggestions.
Technically, the plugin delivers clean, artifact-free processing without the latency issues that plague some time-synced effects. For producers seeking immediate, grid-aware transitions without deep sound design work, BOOST represents a practical addition to professional workflows.
