About this plugin
UJAM's Virtual Guitarist AMBER 2 represents a substantial refinement in plugin-based acoustic guitar simulation, built on multisampled steel string recordings captured across diverse microphone and pickup configurations. The instrument transcends basic loop libraries by offering genuine played responses: 30 performance styles containing over 350 individual phrases that respond to input with articulation variation and dynamic sensitivity characteristic of human performance.
The core strength lies in its tonal flexibility. Multiple recording chains - ranging from close-miked perspectives to room captures - provide genuine sonic variety without the typical brittleness of single-source sampling. The integrated effects section includes 30 stomp box combinations, allowing users to shape character from crystalline finger-picked definitions through saturated, compressed textures suitable for contemporary indie and alternative contexts.

For producers working primarily in pop, singer-songwriter, and rock domains, AMBER 2 functions as a capable session player substitute. The interface prioritizes immediate usability over deep parameter diving, which serves time-constrained workflows well. The acoustic character skews warm and woody rather than bright or clinical - appropriate for intimate arrangements but potentially limiting in genres demanding piercing presence or aggressive articulation.
This loyalty upgrade pathway serves existing UJAM customers seeking to expand their instrumental palette without full retail investment. The plugin integrates logically within broader session production rather than functioning as a specialized tool for acoustic exploration. Its practical value scales with your arrangement style and recording aesthetic rather than technical sophistication.
