About this plugin
Ueberschall's Classical Guitar is a 1.7GB Elastik sample library containing 400 loops of nylon string guitar recorded with minimal processing. The raw, uncolored recordings capture an intimate but full-bodied tone, leaving EQ and reverb decisions entirely to the user. This approach grants immediate control over the sound's character while ensuring the performances integrate cleanly into varied production contexts.
The library organizes material across ten folders spanning atmospheric, funky, straight, and intro/outro categories, with additional elements for performance effects. Each phrase is typically recorded twice - either as double-tracked stereo pairs or as separate left and right parts that function independently or in combination. The inclusion of DI recordings alongside pre-mixed versions with panned stereo imaging provides substantive flexibility for layering and arrangement work.

Technical consistency across folders enables seamless mixing and matching throughout the library. Since all loops share a single key, pitch and tempo shifting via Elastik's playback engine occurs without compatibility friction. The zplane development algorithms handle time-stretching competently, supporting both modest adjustments and more significant tempo changes.
Classical Guitar appeals most to contemporary music producers seeking textural richness beyond standard acoustic guitar loops. The material translates effectively across ambient, funk, soul, rock, house, and pop productions - contexts where nylon string character adds distinctive color without signaling genre specificity. Songwriters and producers accustomed to loop-based workflow will find the organizational structure and recording quality straightforward to work with, though users should expect to spend time shaping tone rather than selecting pre-finished sounds.
