About this plugin
VocAlign 6 Standard represents the latest iteration of what remains the most widely adopted vocal alignment tool in professional studios. For users upgrading from Project 5 or Project 3, this release consolidates Synchro Arts' refinements to an already mature workflow, delivering meaningful improvements in both speed and sonic transparency.
The core function remains unchanged: VocAlign analyzes a reference vocal and automatically time and pitch aligns a secondary performance to match it, eliminating hours of manual editing within DAWs. What distinguishes this upgrade is enhanced processing fidelity. The alignment engine now operates with greater precision in its pitch-detection algorithms, reducing artifacts that can emerge when dealing with heavily processed or doubled vocals. Tightness Control remains the critical parameter, offering nuanced adjustment between robotic precision and natural performance variance.

SmartAlign, the plugin's semi-automatic preset system, has been refined to require fewer manual corrections on complex material. ARA integration across Pro Tools, Logic, Nuendo, and Cubase means the plugin now functions as a true extension of your host rather than a sidecar utility.
This upgrade targets working professionals who've already committed to VocAlign's methodology and need incremental performance gains. It's not a ground-up rewrite, but rather an engineering refinement. For studios relying on VocAlign in daily workflows - particularly those handling doubled leads, vocal stacks, or tight harmony arrangements - the improvements justify the cost. The plugin's standing as the de facto standard in vocal alignment remains unchallenged, partly due to its reliability and partly because alternatives simply haven't closed the gap in real-world results.
