About this plugin
Soundiron's Voices of Rage v2 stands as a specialized toolkit for metal production, delivering four professionally recorded vocal performers captured across dual microphone chains. The library captures Evan Seidlitz, Alecia Demner from Stitched Up Heart, Jason Kocol, and Aaron Boynton across both guttural death metal and high-register screaming techniques, each vocalist bringing distinct tonal character and stylistic approaches to extreme vocal performance.
The core architecture revolves around a 100-word lexicon system with sustaining and staccato articulations, allowing phrase construction through a tempo-synched step sequencer. This design prioritizes workflow efficiency for songwriting, enabling rapid lyrical assembly and real-time tempo stretching without sacrificing intelligibility or natural phrasing. The dual microphone approach - employing a Shure SM58 for stage aggression and a Neumann TLM 103 for studio clarity - provides sonic flexibility depending on whether you're pursuing raw proximity or full-range definition.

The interface prioritizes control over preset saturation, offering micro-phrase layering, blending, and effects processing integrated into the performance engine rather than existing as external tools. This approach suits producers working within metal subgenres where vocal articulation and phrase timing demand precision.
V2 represents a mature implementation for death metal and metalcore production, serving as both a compositional aid and a final vocal layer. While niche in application, the recording quality and performer range justify consideration for any project requiring authentic extreme vocal textures with genuine studio provenance rather than processed approximations.
