About this plugin
Iron Pack 5 - Baritone Guitar delivers a focused, practical approach to integrating electric baritone textures into production. Built from carefully curated multisample recordings, the library captures the instrument's characteristic warmth across its natural range, with both clean and distorted voicings available. The 12 plucked notes provide enough chromatic coverage for melodic work without overwhelming the user with redundant variations.
The real strength lies in Soundiron's implementation of modulation and processing. The LFO system offers genuine flexibility with shape selection, tempo-syncing, and assignable modulation targets, allowing for evolving pad textures that move beyond static samples. The filter section - comprising 12 different lowpass, highpass, and FX varieties with velocity, modwheel, and expression routing - gives you tactile control over tonal evolution. The arpeggiator includes practical features like swing and randomization, making it suitable for both rhythmic sequencing and generative experimentation.

The 20 custom FX presets signal that Soundiron invested in exploring the library's sonic potential beyond straightforward sampling. The 18-module FX rack system, while flexible, requires some workflow engagement to fully exploit.
This package suits producers working in ambient, experimental, or textural domains where baritone guitar serves as atmospheric foundation rather than lead voice. For engineers seeking quick, dependable plucked guitar tones without deep sound design, more immediate libraries exist. However, Iron Pack 5 justifies its modest footprint and cost for those wanting the baritone's specific tonal character combined with serious modulation and effects capabilities.
