About this plugin
SkyDust represents a fundamentally different approach to synthesis by integrating spatial positioning as a core parameter rather than a post-processing effect. This stereo-focused plugin allows you to assign 3D coordinates to individual oscillators, sequences, and envelope generators, with each element capable of independent movement trajectories. The result is synthesis that generates intrinsic depth and dimensionality rather than relying on reverb or conventional stereo widening techniques.
The plugin's architecture centers on familiar synthesis building blocks - oscillators, filters, envelopes, LFOs, and sequencers - but each gains spatial dimensions. The sequencer can position individual notes across a 3D field. Envelope generators sculpt movement over time, allowing a sound to physically traverse space during its lifecycle. LFOs modulate position with azimuth and elevation parameters. This spatial integration produces a coherent sense of movement that feels integral to the sound itself.

For stereo output specifically, SkyDust translates these 3D coordinates into convincing stereo imagery through panning and depth simulation. The preset library offers hundreds of starting points, with randomization and locking features that encourage experimentation without requiring deep synthesis knowledge.
SkyDust Stereo suits sound designers seeking distinctive textures for electronic music, film scoring, and immersive productions. It excels for artists prioritizing sonic character over traditional synthesis workflows. While the spatial paradigm requires adjustment for conventional synth users, the preset system and intuitive 3D visualization lower the technical barrier. Among spatial audio tools, SkyDust's tightly integrated approach distinguishes it from plugins treating spatialization as an afterthought.
