About this plugin
Energy Panner stands as a genuinely innovative approach to spatial audio processing by inverting the typical workflow: instead of manually controlling panning movements, the plugin derives its motion from the intensity envelope of incoming audio. This energy-responsive architecture allows drums to naturally pan with rhythmic impact, synth attacks to trigger spatial shifts, and any dynamic source to generate organic positional movement without requiring sidechain routing or automation lanes.
The plugin operates in two distinct modes. Pan mode delivers traditional left-right movement where greater signal intensity extends the panning sweep, creating dynamic stereo width that contracts and expands with the source material. Sliding mode introduces threshold-based behavior where the sound locks into a new spatial position once triggered, holding that location until the signal again exceeds the threshold before permitting further movement. This distinction proves valuable for everything from locked vocal effects to evolving pad textures.

What separates Energy Panner from conventional panning tools is its multichannel architecture supporting stereo, 7.1, higher-order ambisonics, binaural rendering, and Dolby Atmos through virtual microphone technology. This breadth makes it equally viable in stereo music production and immersive post-production environments.
Energy Panner appeals primarily to forward-thinking producers and sound designers seeking generative spatial effects, as well as audio post specialists working in immersive formats. While not a replacement for precise manual panning, it excels at adding responsive movement that feels physically motivated by source material itself. The educational pricing makes it accessible to students exploring spatial audio fundamentals before committing to professional licenses.
