About this plugin
The Sonnox Enhance Collection addresses a fundamental challenge in modern mixing: achieving competitive loudness and presence without sacrificing dynamic character or introducing audible artifacts. The bundle comprises three complementary processors that tackle this problem from different angles, each built on Sonnox's established algorithms.
The Oxford Inflator operates as a multiband loudness processor, increasing perceived amplitude through harmonic manipulation rather than simple compression. It excels at adding presence to dense mixes or warming thin sources by introducing subtle harmonic content reminiscent of analog saturation. The dual-mode architecture - offering both full-spectrum and band-split processing - provides meaningful control over tonal coloration, making it equally effective on individual tracks or entire mixes.

The Oxford Transient Modulator isolates and reshapes attack characteristics independent of overall timbre. This proves invaluable for rescuing poorly recorded drums, tightening loose bass, or adding definition to buried vocals without the tonal shifts inherent in compression-based approaches. The continuous variation between attack enhancement and suppression allows surgical precision that traditional EQ and compression cannot match.
The Oxford Limiter provides intelligent peak control, essential when the Inflator and TransMod push levels higher. Its transparent design prevents the pumping artifacts common in less sophisticated limiters.
Experienced engineers and professional mixing facilities regard the Enhance Collection as a foundational toolkit. The three processors address core mixing tasks with sonic sophistication that justifies their presence on countless commercial releases. At bundled pricing, they represent strong value for mixing professionals seeking transparent loudness and dynamic enhancement without character degradation.
