About this plugin
Weiss Complete Collection 3 represents a significant upgrade path for EQ1 owners, consolidating eight of Softube's Weiss-authorized mastering tools into a single license at considerably lower cost than individual purchases. The collection centers on the proven DS1-MK3 and DS5 dynamics processors, which have become standards in mastering chains for their transparent gain reduction and surgical control. The MM-1 maximizer provides the loudness management that modern masters demand, while the included Compressor/Limiter offers transparent dynamics control with Weiss' characteristic precision.
The bundle's comprehensive approach covers the full mastering signal chain. The Deess handles sibilance issues without the artifacts that plague lesser implementations, while the updated EQ1 provides surgical equalization with minimal phase shift. The Exciter rounds out the toolkit for subtle high-frequency enhancement, and the Gambit Series channel strip for Console 1 integration offers workflow efficiency for those using Softube's mixing environment.

These plugins model hardware units that Daniel Weiss engineered over decades, bringing that lineage of digital mastering excellence to the DAW. The sonic character favors accuracy and musical restraint over coloration, making them suitable for mastering work across genres where transparency matters more than character.
Best suited for mastering engineers, serious mix engineers handling their own masters, and studios seeking Weiss-quality signal processing without the hardware investment. For existing EQ1 users, the upgrade pricing unlocks tools that address the mastering domain comprehensively. The collection's value proposition lies in its integration of proven algorithms rather than novelty.
