About this plugin
Weiss Complete Collection 3 represents a significant refinement of an already formidable mastering toolkit. Developed through deep collaboration between Softube and Weiss Engineering, this upgrade delivers the Swiss manufacturer's most essential processing weapons in plugin form, addressing the complete signal chain from mix preparation through final loudness management.
The collection centers on surgical precision across eight core processors. The DS1-MK3 and DS5 distortion shapers provide the multiband character control that has defined Weiss's sonic signature in mastering suites worldwide. The MM-1 maximizer handles transient management with the transparency Weiss is known for, while the Compressor/Limiter and Deess tackle dynamics with clinical accuracy. The EQ1 offers the musical yet incisive tonal shaping expected from Weiss, complemented by the Exciter for presence enhancement and the Gambit channel strip integration for Console 1 workflows.

What distinguishes this collection is its restraint. These aren't character-laden processors; they're tools engineered to reveal rather than impose. The sonic character is defined by pristine headroom, minimal distortion artifacts, and surgical control across the frequency spectrum. This approach has made Weiss equipment the reference standard across mastering facilities handling major label releases for two decades.
The upgrade path from Collection 2 acknowledges that Weiss continues refining its algorithms. Engineers currently holding Collection 2 gain access to enhanced modeling and workflow improvements without repurchasing the entire suite.
For mastering engineers, serious mixing professionals, and anyone committed to translatable mixes, Complete Collection 3 provides the foundational processing that justifies its reputation. These tools deliver results that translate across playback systems with uncommon clarity.
