About this plugin
The Rave Generator 3 Bundle from Audio Blast addresses a specific production need: access to the raw, characteristic sounds that defined 90s rave and early techno culture. At its core sits Rave Generator 3, a rompler/sampler hybrid that reconstructs the sonic palette of classic hardware through software. The engine emphasizes the stab sounds that became synonymous with rave - punchy, filtered brass and string textures - while supporting up to 16 stacked instruments per patch for dense layering.
The plugin ships with over 800 presets across its components, including the Junorator add-on (which draws inspiration from classic synthesizer architecture) and two volumes of dedicated bass and lead banks. The inclusion of stackable instruments, randomization functions, and onboard effects like delay, reverb, and multiple filter types provides working flexibility beyond preset browsing. Format support spans VST2/VST3, AudioUnit, and AAX across Windows, macOS, and Linux, ensuring broad DAW compatibility.

This bundle best serves producers working in techno, house, and acid genres who want period-accurate textures without deep knowledge of 90s synthesis techniques. The preset-heavy approach means quick track integration for those prioritizing speed over deep sound design. However, experienced engineers should note this is fundamentally a preset solution - the sonic ceiling is largely determined by Audio Blast's sound design rather than customization depth. It functions as a reliable reference library and inspiration tool rather than a comprehensive synthesis environment. For producers seeking instant rave authenticity, it delivers straightforwardly.
