About this plugin
QRonicle represents a pragmatic solution to a persistent studio problem: the disconnect between session files and their supporting documentation. Rather than processing audio, this plugin generates a scannable QR code embedded directly within your DAW project, linking to cloud-based notes, mic placement photos, gear settings, or any supplementary materials relevant to that session.
The workflow is straightforward. Save your documentation to a cloud drive, point QRonicle to that file or folder, and the plugin renders a QR code. During a session - whether you're returning to mix weeks later or collaborating with an engineer in another location - a quick phone scan immediately retrieves the linked information without requiring additional applications or fumbling through email chains.

What distinguishes QRonicle from ad-hoc documentation methods is its integration into the session itself. Your notes travel with the project file rather than existing in parallel folders or shared drives, reducing the friction that typically causes critical details to go missing between tracking, editing, and final delivery. This proves particularly valuable in collaborative environments where multiple people need consistent access to the same reference material.
The plugin operates with zero CPU impact, avoiding the computational overhead that makes it genuinely practical for inclusion in any session. While the concept is conceptually simple, it addresses a genuine workflow inefficiency that most experienced engineers encounter regularly.
QRonicle suits anyone tracking multiple projects or working in team environments where information organization directly impacts efficiency and consistency.
